The water in rivers and streams are also cold, fast and unsuitable for swimming
The photographs of fiords are NOT recommendation to swim in them
Looking in a map, Briksdal Glacier is just one small finger of a huge mountain glacier. There are other larger glaciers too. Visiting near Briksdal Glacier lowest edge is recommended because of the convenient access to near its lowest edge relative to other glaciers.
Any extreme or dangerous activity is not recommended. Just enjoying the scenery is the right thing to do. So many magnificent views might easily fill your time. I visited only a few of the numerous beautiful places.
If you go to Stockholm (Sweden), paying visit to the Museum of Natural History, near the University, is recommended. It presents dinosaurs as well as Swedish nowadays animals. I regret I did not take my camera.
